Wilting usually means it needs water; pale leaves signal hunger; pinch off flower buds on leafy herbs to keep the leaves tender.
Grows readily from seed, and many herbs root quickly from stem cuttings in water.
Harvest often from the top to keep growth bushy, and pinch out flower buds on leafy herbs to prolong tender leaf production.
Feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced feed; a nitrogen-rich feed keeps leafy herbs lush.
Pot on whenever roots fill the container; refresh the soil each season for continued harvests.
Grows fastest in the warm months. Protect from frost, and move indoors to a bright spot or sow afresh to keep going through winter.
